How to use it
- Write or paste your caption or bio with the empty lines where you want them.
- Choose what goes on the empty lines: an invisible character (looks blank) or a dot.
- Press Copy caption and paste it into Instagram.
Why the spacing disappears
Instagram sometimes squeezes empty lines out of a caption, especially when a line ends with a space or the empty line contains only spaces. The fix that survives is a line that looks empty but isn't. This tool removes the stray spaces and puts an invisible character, the braille blank (U+2800), on every empty line.
Invisible or dot?
The invisible character looks cleanest. Screen readers may announce it, for example as "blank", so if many of your followers use one, the dot option is the more accessible choice. Indented lines can keep their indent with the Keep indents option.
Spacing that helps people read
Only the first line or two show before more, so make the first line the reason to keep reading. After that, one idea per short paragraph, a blank line between them, and the hashtags at the very end, after their own blank line, so they don't interrupt the text. A list reads better with an emoji or a dash at the start of each line than as one long sentence.
